Stephanie Ganges- Tejeda is a Senior Associate with Sioli Alexander Pino and focuses on Admiralty & Maritime Law, General Liability, and Federal Workers’ Compensation Claims. Mrs. Tejeda began as a Legal Assistant prior to embarking on her legal education. While completing her legal education, Mrs. Tejeda returned to Sioli Alexander Pino where she worked as a Law Clerk during her second and third years of law school.

Outside of the classroom and her work at the firm, Mrs. Tejeda completed an internship with the Department of Homeland Security as a Legal Intern for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). While at ICE Mrs. Tejeda was afforded the opportunity not only to prepare appellate briefs and responsive motions involving crimes of moral turpitude and terrorism threats but also to sit second chair. At the completion of her internship, Ms. Ganges was asked to stay at ICE throughout the summer which afforded her the opportunity to log more than 200 hours of pro bono service while in law school.

Prior to the commencement of her third year of law school, Mrs. Tejeda was chosen for a competitive position within the Criminal Appellate Litigation Clinic. While with the Clinic, Mrs. Tejeda was responsible for overseeing two criminal juvenile cases for which she prepared Answer and Reply briefs. At the conclusion of the Clinic, one case was chosen for oral argument before the Third District Court of Appeals providing Ms. Ganges with the opportunity to argue her first appellate case.

For extracurricular participation, Mrs. Tejeda was an active participant in the Moot Court Board where she competed, coached several competitions and served as the Vice-President of Financial Affairs. She was also an active member of the Maritime Law Society where she served as Secretary coordinating several cross over events with the University of Miami’s Maritime Law Society.

Mrs. Tejeda excelled academically, she achieved Dean’s List every semester during her second and third year of law school and earned a Book Award in First Amendment Constitutional Law, after achieving the highest grade in her class. With her many academic accolades, Mrs. Tejeda set a standard of excellence for herself and her career graduating with honors from law school. She is currently a member of the Association of Professional Insurance Women where she hopes to further make connections and relations with women who work in insurance.
