BIO

Julia Otero is an Associate Attorney at Sioli Alexander Pino, handling Defense Base Act cases within the firm’s practice.

Otero earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from St. Thomas University. She then attended St. Thomas University School of Law to earn her Doctor of Jurisprudence. During her time in law school, she was a member of the Maritime Law Society and St. Thomas More Catholic Law Society. She also completed over 100 pro bono service hours during her legal education.

After graduating from law school, Otero joined Sioli Alexander Pino as a legal assistant and paralegal. She gained experience in document preparation, legal research, trial support, and case management before joining the firm as an Associate Attorney upon passing the Florida Bar Exam in 2024.

She lives in Miami, Florida, with her husband, Lee, and her goldendoodle named Jack. In her free time, Otero enjoys volunteering at her church and hanging out with her family.
