Hilary Jonczak

BIO

Hilary K. Jonczak is a Partner at Sioli Alexander Pino, where she focuses her practice on a broad range of maritime and commercial litigation disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as personal injury and death claims brought under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (including § 905(b) claims), Defense Base Act, War Hazards Compensation Act, and Jones Act. With over 15 years of litigation experience, she brings a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to high-exposure and complex matters, often involving nuanced regulatory frameworks, jurisdictional hurdles, and international considerations.

Ms. Jonczak’s litigation career spans both private practice and in-house counsel roles, including with one of the world’s largest global insurers. Known as a formidable courtroom advocate, she is respected for crafting aggressive yet cost-effective litigation strategies that guide clients through all phases of the dispute process.

In 2023, she took the opportunity to expand her professional experience, serving as Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Counsel for a high-end interior design firm. In this role, she negotiated and drafted contracts for multimillion-dollar interior design and construction projects, managed construction-phase risk, and oversaw project execution. This experience deepened her understanding of the client-side challenges that drive litigation, ultimately reinforcing her passion for advocacy and leading her back to her roots in defense litigation.

Now back in the courtroom, Ms. Jonczak is also embracing life as a new mom, finding joy in balancing work, family, and everything in between.
