Ellen Torres is an Associate Attorney at Sioli Alexander Pino handling Defense Base Act insurance claims within the firm’s practice.

Torres earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Pre-law Certificate at Florida International University. She then attended St. Thomas University School of Law to earn her Doctor of Jurisprudence and an Admiralty and Maritime Law Certificate. While completing her legal education, Torres distinguished herself as the Vice President of the Maritime Law Society and as the Secretary of the Children and Family Law Society.

Post-graduation, Torres kickstarted her legal career by joining the Florida Department of Children and Families as a Certified Legal Intern where she was a hardworking member of their shelter team, handling dependency cases and gaining courtroom experience. She then worked as a Personal Injury Law Clerk where she acquired a foundation in drafting demands and complaints, negotiating settlements, defending recorded statements, and other similar legal skills.

Torres lives in Miami with her husband and two dogs and on the weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family.
