Sukhmani (“Suki”) Brar is an Associate with Sioli Alexander Pino and focuses on Admiralty & Maritime Law, General Liability, and Federal Workers’ Compensation litigation. While completing her legal education, Ms. Brar was a judicial extern for Honorable John J. O’Sullivan, United States Magistrate Judge, Southern District of Florida, where she gained valuable insight and experience into the federal court system and the trial process. Ms. Brar also received a fellowship from the University of Miami School of Law HOPE program to work at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office alongside the A-prosecutor and Division Chief of the Felony Robbery Division.

Outside of the courtroom and classroom, Ms. Brar dedicates her time to serving her community, including participating in Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to help assist low-income clients in filing taxes, and volunteered her time as a Guardian Ad Litem for the 11th Judicial Circuit.

For extracurricular participation, Ms. Brar was a member of the University of Miami Maritime Law Society. She was also Co-chair of the Empowered Youth Tutoring on campus, which was dedicated to aiding young men between the ages of 12-18.

In the academic field, Ms. Brar completed an LL.M. in Maritime Law and the University of Miami, and was selected for the Academic Achievement Program as a Dean’s Fellow, student instructor, for required first-year Contract course.
